  2. I recall calling at a US air Force base in England. The American guard gave me directions another entrance to another part of the base. He said take the 'A', 'Fifty three', 'Forty one'. Which threw me, as the road is the A5341, pronounced by us as the 'A', five', 'three', 'four', 'one' by us.
