Only Americans say that. There are Range Rovers all around me, and not once have I have ever seen one broken down. They have used BMW and Rover engines, yet they always appear to brake down in the USA. I surprised he never mentioned Lucas eclectics - yet again I have had countless cars with Lucas with all being perfect. Must be the air in the USA.

The Germans also stole the engineering - sort of. Rover engineers in England were designing a small hatchback car. When BMW sold Rover they took all the engineering material off them. Rover asked for it back. BMW said at a price, which was horrendous. So, a fortune to get back what you did. Rover said "no". A small car appeared in Germany as the BMW 1. Basically engineered by Rover.

@peterdurnien9084 "There's too much stuff on it, more stuff more to go wrong." That is the nature of all upmarket cars. It goes with the territory.

@peterdurnien9084 "They were made is about a mile away from the airport." I have a relative who works at Jaguar Land Rover. He said the they are no less reliable than other comparable cars full of gadgets. They take reliability very seriously. You should not be using Rage Rovers on an airport. Basic Land Rovers is what you need. You have the wrong type of vehicles for the job. These days you need simple EVs for that job, with plug in points easy to fit all over the airport. Then you will have all eight cars full working 24/7.

@1chish In looks and style the Range Rover leaves all US SUVs standing. A lineage back to 1970.
