  1. I have a Siemens dishwasher. It has no pre-wash detergent dispenser. It has only one cold fill water inlet, no hot inlet. The instructions say it can also be hot fill only, which I connected it to. I use Finish dishwasher tablets which are the all-in-one type - they have detergent, rise-aid and anti-scale all in one. So no need to pour in rinse aid liquid into the rise aid dispenser. I use the eco function, which takes a long time, but all the dishes are always well cleaned and glassware sparkling. I live in a hard water area. I believe some manufacturers say that putting additional powder in the dishwasher itself is beneficial if dishes are heavily soiled.

  2. Electric showers have no switching in bathrooms - apart from pull chords from the ceiling if wanted. Isolation tends to be outside the bathroom. The cable comes from behind with sealed covers. All is plastic to the touch. They have to be on RCDs. Find out how they are installed and made before you comment.
