The top percent get so rich by appropriating commonly created wealth. Wealth they never earned. It is legal stealing. Use this common wealth to pay for public services. Tax on labour and trade, income tax & sales taxes, are the biggest aristocracy scam in history. This shifts the cost of building the infrastructure that makes them super-wealthy onto the working poor. An e.g., A railway is primarily to make other wealthy. When people travel by rail in most trips they are making someone else money by working for them (commuting) or buying something (shopping). Money is involved. Few are travelling for fun or to see relatives. Any social trips are few and far between. Social trips only fill in. Those who make from the rails indirectly should pay. But money from taxes paid for by the working poor pays for the railway.
