  16. did you actually watch this video???? It specific says that trees pump water higher than 10m, so atmospheric pressure does not explain this phenomenon. Heart creates pressure in your vascular system, but trees don't have heart. In order to trees pump water the way you suggested - tree should expand trunk filling it with water and then contract it to induce pressure - exactly what heart does. Have you ever seen trees with heart? You are talking nonsense.

  18. And one more note - this issue is not about "dictate" - dictate has deal with creation (probably will talk later). It's about factual determinism. There is only two ways anybody can know (really know, not you think "know" is) future - either totally deterministic world - future can be calculated from initial state, or future already exists, so it's unchangeable - in either case there is no free will by definition.

  29. Well, it's a tough question actually - the short answer - I don't know :) what we know right now - nature is not deterministic because of uncertainty principle. Most likely free will is only our perception of uncertainty. In order to exist (in its true meaning) there should be some supernatural agent (lets call it "soul" :) which isn't (surprise :) a natural phenomena - we don't have any evidence for that, moreover, we have overwhelming amount of evidences for contrary.   30. actually the whole this topic is a nonsense - speed of light is NOT about light - it's THE "speed" of interaction - and therefore the speed of light always and for all directions equals to speed of light and BY DEFINITION is the same - since we measure time as speed of interaction - there is nothing to compare this speed with - this speed is THE measurement standard.
