Comments by "Kasumi Rina" (@KasumiRINA) on "COMMON MYTHS About Ancient History - featuring Raven Todd DaSilva from Dig It With Raven" video.
Because they need to take the achievements from Egyptians. Notice how in almost ANY video about Egypt you have "Egyptians were black" vs "Egyptians were white" crowds, BOTH claiming that current Egyptians are whiter/blacker than original because they were "replaced" with Greeks/Arabs and that the OG descendants are either white OR black Americans. Actual people from Egypt get furious, especially when someone comments that Faiyum portrait "looks like my uncle" and racists in comments start spewing vitriol about Egyptians not being Egyptian... seriously. This is the same as Ankgor Wat being described as built by "probably Trajan or Alexander", because giving credit to locals ancestors would be too woke.

They also often believed gods inhabited inside specific idols and buildings, that's why idolatry is different from, say, religious imagery in Christianity, nobody in their right mind actually believes Mary is inside her statues – notably there are idiots who claim weeping statues and icons, but they are usually mocked. While actual pagans, considered gods living inside the idols of stone and wood. Hence Babylonian exile was so damned by everyone as Nebuchadnezzar not just took statues from the communities, but THEIR GODS. And Cyrus returned them.

@celsus7979 That's also a myth. Like she said, there was no one event which destroyed Great Library, it fell into disrepair slowly over centuries much like many seen their local libraries go. So there WAS NO MASS DESTRUCTION OF SCROLLS OR KNOWLEDGE LINKED TO IT. Just lost media becoming lost in general.

Why people stopped viewing alien claimers as complete cooks?

@flightographist none of those things prove anything, seeing "this thing looks like that thing" is not how history works. OF COURSE they had deities for sky and sun and sea and earth because guess what? They all faced the same natural phenomena... Snakes were everywhere and were dangerous too.

I've seen a documentary where guy inserts a camera into one of the gaps and reads the builder gang's graffiti.

@celsus7979 outstretched open arm is in any generic wave, you can find people literally trying to catch a taxi with a similar salute, or celebrating on Olympics... that said, eagles surprised me, I was sure the local aquila with a wreath is TOTALLY from German occupation time and only swastika was erased in 45, but apparently that building was built before 1941, and it already had the Roman Eagle. Videos on that house absolutely make any russians destroy monitors with spit lol.

Exactly like your local library, probably.
