  7. Romans built Rome, but I don't think anyone suggest they build Jerusalem or Alexandria, cities they conquered. But it's true that there's far less questioning Europeans building their own cities compared to others, which is a very Western colonial mindset. It applies inside Europe too, there isn't a day when a former imperial Euro country claiming it build everything in states they used to colonize.
