  5. It's more complex. Tokugawa bakufu was ousting the samurai as a class, and power lied in the hands of bureaucrats. Stories like 47 ronin were just examples of tragedies born from the degeneracy of the Shogunate. And over a century later, nationalism was on the rise, and Japanese identified as a nation, and wanted both progress and claiming their national identity, all while securing the rights of people who didn't fare well in the rigid caste system of Edo period.

  8. I think they dropped that after a few episodes in the start, feels they didn't find good consultants. As much as I love Three Kingdoms lore, I feel a series they're more confident with is better than them stumbling over Chinese names again.
