10:00 Reason CIA didn't know Castro was a communist is because at that point, he didn't know it himself. Fidel was an opportunist who simply wanted power, it was Che Guevara (an ideological fanatic) who persecuted him to take on communist ideology. Which led to their regime persecuting former allies - socialists and anarchists.
