@SantiagoGarza-bg9wp yeah Troy is specifically cited as where the Romans came from in the Aeneid, so it's kind of a nation building myth.

The starch is also extremely important as it is used in other dishes and even industry! It just makes them inedible raw.

I sometimes try to imagine European cuisine and end up seeing Romans chewing on wood or something. No Italian food without tomatoes, no Romanian without corn, no Bulgarian or Turkish without peppers, no nothing. Just I guess potato-less borsch and wheat in Ukraine and literally nothing to eat and just cannibalism outside of it.

Yes, no pizza without south American cultures as no pineapples!

Yeah if you see what chocolate is made of, the ingredients almost always list cocoa powder and cocoa butter as separate ingredients, as these get separated during preparation.

17:38 another artifact original Tomb Raider bizarrely put into Peru. The atlantes statues.

Peppers in Eastern Europe also. We literally call bell peppers "Bulgarian". I think fantasy should accept other American veggies too because there's no reason another world would have that specific set of plants limited to default continent (also there's no reason to make fantasy specifically resemble EUROPE, one thing I like in Japanese fantasy is how it's a hodge podge of knights with katanas making miso soup with corn in Moroccan styled castle).

@Wyckoff_ape if Greeks influence was so immaterial how come we have dig sites with their artifacts and buildings from like BC era all the way to Ukraine? With 18-19th century buildings deliberately go for neoclassical style not to mention Renaissance a bit earlier, copying the art style specifically?

8:20 the SNEK from first Tomb Raider... The one that puts European animals and Mexican artifacts and architecture into Peru.

There was a famous in Eastern Europe stand-up comedian, Zadornov, who claimed that silly Americans bought some "russian" potatoes, planted them and couldn't eat because they were too stupid to dig them up. Everyone laughed. The orks are so ignorant they don't know potatoes came from Americas and not invented in ancient Mordor.

It's amazing muscovites somehow stole native American artifacts too in addition to our washing machines and toilets.

@thecaveofthedead I often feel that ruzzians are just LARPing as early modern English and are just systematically trying to out-crime-against-humanity them, food example is peter 1st (nobody calls him "great" in Eastern Europe) banning Ukrainian books from print to have our language join Irish in near extinction.
