@eh1600 it's complicated. Most queens in Egypt were just queens and only some of them had pharaoh husband, a bunch of female rulers existed and some had male regalia others not, their reigns were often erased by later male rulers... so Hatshepsut, another woman pharaoh, switched between gender representation, you can see using both male and female titles on her, and Cleo was a full pharaoh with fully female identity.

Unironically characters like this are perfect for Assassin's Creed: he's right there where super important stuff happens, but has biography vague enough to put him in other places.

Kyivan Rus wasn't russia tho. It was a viking-ruled state in Ukraine and Belarus. The muscovy really starts being a country from Ivan IIIrd, before it was just a small city state. Later, Peter the first (not called "great" outside of English speaking circles) made a connection to Kyiv and Rus' in a historic revisionism attempt at proclaiming moscow the Third Rome. Which is bull but muscovites keep blabbing on about Byzantine aka Eastern Roman Empire legacy which they have nothing to do with (literally Norway has larger claim due to Varangian guard and Harald Hardrada and even they don't pretend to be NEW ROME).

@elsakristina2689 it seems like normal nobles adoption, where you declare someone your family member so they inherit stuff, much less weird than it sounds, if you read Chinese history, for example, they adopted and blood brothered people left and right.

Not when being curpbstomped by the Japanese, Afghan peasants, and a country with no navy.

@haydenmcwhorter6363 eh in Europe most decent countries are constitutional monarchies, and the ones who shot their kings are like... russia.
2
Before? It's thire entire 20th century. Including false Romanov heirs.
2
It's funny that villages in shithole the russia call their shacks "universities"... Like be real. Only thing in russia is drunkards and Wagner Nazis.
2
There are two options: gibe Abrams, long range missiles and F16. Other is Article 5. PUSH THE RED BUTTON, SUCKERS! We will paint ruins of Kremlin in black.

That's how Poland worked. Unfortunately, since average russian is drunken wife beater dreaming to steal a washing machine and a raccoon from his neighbour, they voted for one of them. The last elections in moscow happened in 1613, since the the next tyrant is installed by previous one, see Yeltsin setting up Khuilo. Only exclusion are coups, like Lenin the Mongol or the Austrian Catherine the whore (Byron's words, not mine). Oh yeah, ethnic Slavs never ruled russia. Ever. Even Ivan was like a nephew of a Khan. "Romanovs" barely spoke russia, they were inbred Germans with swastikas on Nicholas car and everything.

Yeah, about football, that's also China, and they've never got good at it. England mostly takes other people's stuff and doesn't even become best at that.

I think it's because a) Afro Samurai concept is really cool. b) Black guys really like anime and Japanese stuff. So it's a win-win.

I like how russians keep pretending the years 1939-41, when Soviets were fighting ON HITLER'S SIDE, didn't exist.

Super based Ethiopia that never gets colonized or Kush kingdom that randomly conquered Egypt, decided "we like pyramids," and built MORE back in Sudan.

Yup. And that's why modern government systems (either constitutional monarchy when dynasties don't rule or democratic republics) are just more stable. Ironically, USA somehow ended up one of oldest states that still exist because they didn't have no kings or empires... Most countries, in Europe at least, are 100 years old or less. Yea, their cultures are older but Fifth French Republic is not the same country as Second Empire, neither is Poland same as Rzechpospolita.

Не Руси а Московии. Русь в том семье откуда ваша армия драпает.
1
That's a myth. In fact, there was only one person in ENTIRE HUMAN HISTORY who failed to capture moscow after besieging it. Adolf Hitler. He was bad commander and a shit painter too! Everyone else, from Tatar Khan Tokhtamysh, to Ukrainian cossack Sahaidachny to literal CAKE Napoleon, entered moscow and burned down like they're Seth Rollins cashing in his MITB briefcase.

False Dmitry Medvedev would be recognized by being found sober. Which is illegal in russia.

Well the last century russia imploded as a state and got destroyed TWICE, with endless coups and history revisionism. The irony is things haven't changed since much, including various Romanov "real heir" wannabees and the new tsar, khuilo, being a schizophrenic who kisses little boys in the belly.
1
Slavic or Eurasian. Pick one. The "Eurasism" is just russian supremacist ideology claiming their faraway colonies in Asia belong to muscovites. They should be shunned as seriously as those Germans who proclaimed themselves "Aryans".
1
Time of troubles aka the trouble of r*ssia existing. Troubles would end when moscow is getting the Carthage treatment. With salt from Bakhmut on top of the bulldozed plain so nothing ever grows there.
1
@hahaper2037 myth? The russia is throwing human waves of mobilized convicts at Bakhmut for months. It's a FACT.

@KateeAngel yup, there's none... but vatnik LARPers in comments are foaming at the mouth fr inhaling too much copium.
