  1. Kyivan Rus wasn't russia tho. It was a viking-ruled state in Ukraine and Belarus. The muscovy really starts being a country from Ivan IIIrd, before it was just a small city state. Later, Peter the first (not called "great" outside of English speaking circles) made a connection to Kyiv and Rus' in a historic revisionism attempt at proclaiming moscow the Third Rome. Which is bull but muscovites keep blabbing on about Byzantine aka Eastern Roman Empire legacy which they have nothing to do with (literally Norway has larger claim due to Varangian guard and Harald Hardrada and even they don't pretend to be NEW ROME).

  9. That's a myth. In fact, there was only one person in ENTIRE HUMAN HISTORY who failed to capture moscow after besieging it. Adolf Hitler. He was bad commander and a shit painter too!
