Uh-huh, I don't think there's any specific answer, with estimates ranging from dozens to tens of millions.

Compared to Alaska, you know, the only US state that, well, doesn't. XD

I want to meet the academic who can correctly count the death toll of all the wars, genocides, executions and insurrections related to Cold War but I am afraid the question is unanswerable. Others were US-centric, like come on, I know Civil War was between Red and White armies... and our laws get so many amendments nobody counts them, there are literally hundreds.

Ah yes, the skills of remembering Kim Vihn Hui's name. That's very helpful in life.

Why? You think naming a dictator of some random people's republic would be somehow helping US society? If anything, the interviewer being know-it-all is more aggravating with stupid questions like assuming only revolutionary or civil war was in US, and there's only one thing with amendments. Still nothing beats the unanswerable question of Cold War casualties (by modern historians it would be anywhere from 10 people to 25 millions).

I'd rather American kids watch TikTok than conservative propaganda. Your high court is a disgrace banning abortions in 2022. And having death penalty allowed puts USA on same level of human rights as Belarus. Except their russian puppet has a mustache and no toupee.

Your America-centrism is very sad. I hear the questions has asked and none of them have a right answer (except useless dictator names) unless you imagine the world is only USA. Come on, WHAT Civil War? Amendments to WHAT? Which Revolutionary war? The idea that common knowledge is absoutely pointless crap like naming all US states while assuming Africa is a country is ridiculous. Almost nobody in America knows actual countries but sure you know all dozen of amendments US constitution had (we had hundreds of amendments to our laws in Europe and hardly ANYONE can name them because we aren't using them as political props).

Yes, and Vietnam, Cambodia, East Timor, Greek Civil War, various revolutions and incursions, they were all part of Cold War. Only counting US service members would be ridiculous, hell, Soviets lost almost as many people in 10 years of Afghanistan that russia loses every two months in Ukraine, so that has to count for something. And Afghanistan was DEFINITELY part of Cold War. The part which Soviets lost and USSR collapsed. Afghans were getting US stingers before it got popular.

While the answers are silly, the questions are pretty bad too: WHICH Civil War? What Revolutionary war? Amendments to WHAT? Like the questions themselves are also part of the problem of this American exceptionalism. The worst has to be counting the casualties of Cold War... does Vietnam count? Hungarian Revolution? Soviet-Afghan war? Because depending on your definition, Cold War killed between a dozen people (direct US/USSR fights mostly in East Germany) to 25 MILLIONS. If you count all the proxy civil wars Soviets had with America.
