United Nations recognized Republic of China, in Taipei, as legitimate government of China. Later, they switched to PRC for some reason. But for many years Taiwan aka ROC was THE China and PRC was unrecognized. Similarly, the russia, aka russian federation, DOES NOT EXIST in UN charter, in fact they were never recognized and are illegitimate claimers of USSR's seat on the security council, while BOTH Ukraine and Belarus were founding members of UN. So if you read small print, yeah, neither Taiwan nor russia are countries... unfortunately, UN de facto gives russian terrorists absolute power over everything, so for all intents and purposes, United Nations is a joke and should never be taken seriously.

Unfortunately, with how West let russia get away with anything and doesn't enforce any sanction, they are effectivelly begging China to invade, and even if Xi DIDN'T plan to, the Westerners appeasing russians basically force his hand. It's like, they've made so many guarantees any dictatorship will get away with everything that passing on this is insane. Any sensible person would just invade just because UN and international community is so weak and won't stand in the way. It's literally provoking them.

I only learned because of Track & Field commentators mentioning either not winning ANY medals on Olympics before. Reason many people don't know eSwatini is because it's Swaziland just renaming itself, it's a tiny monarchy in Africa, mostly known for being mocked by being compared to russia in how primitive it is... Belize, I know how it's spelled and that it's not Bahrain... Let me guess, not Gulf but either Pacific or Carribean island country? Might be confusing it with Vanuatu, one of like four "countries" that support russia openly along with North Korea, Assad's regime and Lukashenko's remains of what was called Belarus.

Dude, russia has been hitting Ukrainian concrete bunkers for 10 years, the only things they destroyed are things stupidly left out in the open. Yes, there are penetration levels on munitions and some hangars can get damaged, but saying that "concrete? nuh-un, bunker-buster!" is like saying body armor is useless because you got armor-piercing rounds. That's not how it works.

The point is that China has GUARANTEES of NATO and just US alone non-interfering in ANY colonial conquests. If russia can wage war against Ukraine for 10 years and West keeps selling russia missile components while blocking Ukrainians from attacking russian airfields, then CCP knows they have a carte blanche to do whatever they want without pushback. West appeased russia and now ALL tyrannies: Iran, North Korea, China, see that they have free rein to do whatever they want with zero consequence. We had a russian war supporter just get cheered for Olympic gold because they listed her as "German". Missiles that hit hospirals and supermarkets in Ukraine are made by Intel, Nvidia and AMD. Texas instruments electronics in russian tanks. West eats EVERYTHING up. And arms russians to the teeth, financing Chinese regime even more... Pathetic, even worse than Chamberlain.

It WAS unlikely, until West let russia attack Ukraine with basically zero consequences for russia: missiles that hit our homes are made with mostly US, Swiss and EU components, Westerners are arming russia to the teeth so China sees that when it invades, the ENTIRE western economy will give them endless ammo cheat, like they did with russia. There's NO chances Chinese will resist fighting a war that has absolutely no negatives to them, seeing how russia is still not embargoed by ANY country and gets all it wants from NATO while Ukraine is blocked from striking russian airfields. They KNOW West is self-sabotaging and has like two days worth of munitions in case of being invaded. We Ukrainians know that Taiwan is doomed because of Western continued appeasement of russians.

They will obviously plan a 2-3 days special military operation, will totally fail, but West will keep trading with China and simply because of HUGE financial support BOTH russia and China get from NATO countries, by pure attrition they just keep going in endless war as long as Westerners keep supplying them. The russia makes ALL of their weapons with Western-made components 10 years into the war right now. There's just no way for Chinese or russians to run out of ammo when ENTIRE Western world supports them the way they do now: billions every day. So much West-made component based weapons fired on us every day, ALL new just off the conveyor. Did you know EU admitted they only have ammo for 2 days of fighting because they exported ALL cellulose to russia? Yes, the enemy, that is openly saying they will destroy Europe, is armed BY Europe that leaves ITSELF weaponless by giving tens and hundreds of times more to russia than they ever gave to Ukraine. All of the West is giving China so much money they will never run out of it unless they attack California and Bruseels.

Because calling them Taiwan and China is convenience. The actual country names are People's Republic of China and Republic of China. Kind of like BOTH Koreas consider themselves JUST Korea (Republic of Korea and Democratic People's Republic of Korea) and legally claim control of entire country, both PRC and ROC do the same. China claims Taipei, but Taiwan (officially Republic of China) claims Beijing. So they can't declare "independence" without dropping claims to rest of their territory (ALL of China), which they consider occupied. Hence no independence in 50s, there was still one China policy, but back then ROC-Taiwan WAS THE one China, and PRC were considered illegitimate separatists... then it switched because of idiots wanting cheap stuff by exporting all of their production and becoming dependent on cheap Chinese goods and totally lost if war happens and they forgot to take production out of enemy's territory. Kind of like with mental babies buying fossil fuels from russia after 2008 let alone 2014... absolute Darwin award contenders.
