It's a basic principle of Art of War that is explained in first chapter in Chinese classic Romance of the Three Kingdoms, when sieging the Yellow Turbans fortress... HOWEVER, it is NOT applicable here as Ukraine wants to blow that bridge. We literally don't have the means, russia protects it better than Kremlin or even putler's bunker. That's it, just one reason we didn't blow it up yet: nobody sells us weapons that can reach it, and we gave away our long ranged weapons to make good for Budapest Memorandum signees, who broke treaty and now owe us.

That would need either tons of long range missiles that Ukraine doesn't have OR a team of superheroes who will get captured 99% as literally no place in the world has more security, as the bridge is dictator's entire mandate of ruling russia: putin's ratings were dwindling until russians invaded Ukraine and occupied Crimea. Losing it is the end, crowd will follow someone more war-mongering and brutal. The russians don't support those who don't take others territory. Whole russian people's value system hinges on conquest and colonization.

Yes but we need missiles with longer range. "Can this take out Crimean bridge?" is the main joke in all Ukrainian communities since it was built. Making up exotic ways like catapulting Gerashchenko onto it... is a running gag. We want that bridge down... We don't know how, yet. It has easily more air defenses than entire russia. All we have are Tochka U missiles that are not precise, don't have enough range, and are easy to shoot down. We need longer range stuff, I calculated and Ukraine needs a high yield low range (1000km) strategic missiles. Yes that's for moscow but ALSO we will drown that bridge after glassing it.

The only reason that bridge is standing is idiots in the West screaming about "escalation" fears and not giving Ukraine weapons with range long enough to do it. I bet Germans won't wake up until russians are in Berlin... Americans are also irrationally scared to arm Ukraine properly. One we have ANYTHING that reaches it without being shot down, the bridge falls. There's ZERO things holding Ukrainians from destroying everything with russian flag on it except for ability. Trust me, if it is russians and exists, that means Ukraine can't blow it up... yet.

It would have crippled russian army the most at 23rd of February. Then on 24th, 25th and so on... we literally have nothing with long enough range, firepower and precision to take it down. Flying over it is suicide as there are more defenses than in entire russia, putin will be ousted by russians if he stops genocide of Ukrainians in Crimea. It's their main goal, colonization, so even if moscow will be besieged, not a single SAM will be removed from Crimean bridge... in fact, they are stripping Anti-air defences from St. Petersburg already to reinforce Crimea. Russians are okay with losing their capital as long as they keep killing us on our soil. Such are russian people.

@T.M.N.N What? russia literally used ALL of its conventional capabilities on Ukraine, 85% of the army in February and over 100% now since they scrapped reserves and forced all convicts to invade too... The russians have zero things they haven't used aside from chemical and nuclear stuff that will force NATO to turn russia into moon landscape in less than a weekend. Conventionally, russians can't do jack! In fact, they already stripped all air defences from St. Petersburg and now will leave moscow completely undefended just to defend Crimea, and that won't save them.

It doesn't. Destroying the bridge, the russian army, the moscow, is something we will do as soon as we can. Every day anything of russia is left standing, hundreds of people die. West should understand that and return to Ukraine long range missiles, give us tanks and western planes. Notice how when we got HIMARS they didn't stop firing basically, only to reload and aim. We are going all out and russia will be gone forever. Making peace in all world.

Please tell me how to bring a team of sappers in literally the most guarded place in the world. It's like Minas Morgul, the center of power for russian dictator, his ENTIRE rating hinges on russians loving occupation of Crimea.
