  1. The other way around, they broke all the time. Poor quality, constant need for repairs, changing Zhiguli for a most basic Toyota, KIA or Opel was a breath of fresh air for any driver.

  2. Yes, my grandpa had a Skoda that lasted through the 1990s before he sold it in the 2000s, it was much better than any Soviet made crap, and was much more comfortable. It also had a green decal at the back, I think it was a rear engine one? I hardly remember cause I was a toddler.
