Polish words aren't hard, it's the way it's using Latin that makes it ridiculous, for example, Rzeszow is pronounced close to Jeshoov. Using Cyrillic, first FOUR letters in Szczecin would be replaced with ONE, Щ. You know, like Croatian song Mana ŠČ on 2023 Eurovision... but you can see even Croats managed to use Latin more effectively, with its limitations. There are many ways to go about it, for example the "zhzh" in Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia could be spelled with "g", like Peruggia. I guess the closer you are to Italy, the easier you find to use their weird script (that includes weird things in English like quququwuqe).
