@carlossaraiva8213 difference is for every Fox News you have MSNBC, even if they're half-assed like everything liberals in USA do (no offense, but it's true). Even Turkey has working opposition media, despite Erdogan's best efforts... but in countries like russia, north Korea and Hungary, government has a monopoly on effectively ALL media. Now imagine if USA didn't have CNN, NBC, WaPo, NYTimes, and ONLY ran with channels like OANN and your leading evening show host was Alex Jones, and only allowed "opposition" being Confederate fan pages and Stormfront. This is the state of media in russia. Everything pro-putin with even more extreme views allowed as controlled opposition (which never wins anything larger than local election) to show him as the lesser evil.

Aid was anything BUT consistent, BTW... Also, as a Ukrainian, it's kind of insane seeing Westerners so casually bury us alive, SO MANY comments are now "Ukraine is done, this is sad but oh well", guys you are no different from "2-3 days to Kyiv." Instead of donating to Come Back Alive or United24 you'd rather have us all die. Come on, the answer for aid lowering is always donate, donate, donate. This is what WE do, we support army MORE not less, when Western aid stops, which it already did in 2023.

About Ukraine-reported russian casualties: personnel losses are approximate, they literally had an asterisk saying that in reports. For same reason you said, methodology counting individual soldiers is imprecise. Generally, they count average crew size for each vehicle but you can't always be sure if it had higher or lower crew and it's hard to know for sure which are KIA and which are simply wounded or even retreated from a burning tank.
Just clarifying that Ukrainian general staff itself openly admits that the count isn't, and cannot be, precise. It's all approximations. Speaking of personnel only here, the tech counts ARE assumed to be precise, Ukraine uses soldier reports, Oryx uses open source pictures, videos, and crew obituaries, which establish the bare floor of minimum losses for either side. Real loss count is 100% higher, only question is to what extent.
Another thing that I want to add is that American counts are also flawed, there's another problem, they ASSUME 1 to 3 ratio of dead to wounded. Despite russian medevac being infamously bad, and prisoners not even getting one at all, what little we know it wad more 1.1-1.5 to 1 ratio, so 80k dead to 100k wounded would be closer to reality than ~40k dead and 120k+ wounded invaders, which Americans presume. They're projecting Western care for common soldier's life onto post-Soviet values where people are considered expendable.

@perfredelius since 2014, either invade full scale or get frozen conflict that wastes resources with no gains (Minsk shenanigans)... Early 2022, get surrounded near Kyiv or retreat... on the other side, keep trying to encircle Mykolaiv, push to Odesa, or retreat to the river, then across it from Kherson... in Mariupol, keep throwing stuff at Azovsteel or let the garrison out... no further credibility loss than Azov commanders and Marines back in action (Turkey let them go). In sea and air they're pushed to be very careful because the dileema is losing another flagship or squadrons of jets or only acting from deep behind frontlines. Same with stretching supply routes on land since HIMARs and later, Storm Shadow appeared. Tons of no-win situation... mind you, russia is making these for us too, like moving air defenses to capital/West/away or wasting resources on civilian infrastructure over figthing on the front. They fail to make some too: nobody in Ukraine actually falls for "imminent attack from Belarus" after first one failed. So no extra resources sent up north.

We in Ukraine believe the Westerners are intentionally sucking russian oily pipes because the West is extremely corrupt. Look at Schroeder getting taxpayer millions while literally working for russian fossil fuel companies. OF COURSE a country as corrupt as Germany will keep doing everything they can so their politicians will keep getting high on russian gasses, as UK keeps hosting oligarchs in Londongrad, and France hasn't recovered for being sold to Gaddafi by Sarkozy.
It's an absolute embarrassment when we see Mussolini-land try to force Ukrainian kids (!) to sing along with russians in San Remo, as Pope forces rape victim to hug the rapist. There's zero trust in the West after Budapest memorandum, as Macron keeps selling what's left to China, USA STILL refuses to close our sky, and likes of Scholtz keep talking about "not attacking russian soil" while we DIE because NATO keeps blocking planes from being sold to Ukrainians.
The war should be NOT on Ukrainian soil. Period. Anyone suggesting otherwise is a genocidal monster who declared 40 million people expendable. Take the war to russia or it will be taken to European Union. The moscow should look like Mariupol at least... and unless West changes (with russia chairing UN, fat chance, this world isn't worth saving), Paris, Berlin and Rome should look like that as well. Only Ukraine matters, nobody else fights. Every other country deserves Darwin award.

Their "annexation" included Zaporizhzhia, a city they NEVER even approached, imagine staging a referendum to annex New York from Siberia, same vibes. Anyway, leaving Kherson for them politicially is the same as... well... not capturing Zapo city, which they, again, couldn't even approach. For us, however, since Kherson, Zapo, Donetsk, Luhansk and Simferopol have the same status in russian eyes, it eases the arguments to push onwards to Crimea, as some ultra-corrupt western journalists and politicians attempted to frame Crimea as special case for Kremlin's money. It is not. Ukraine reclaiming Sevastopol, Simferopol, Yalta, Mariupol, Donetsk, Melitopol and Luhansk is the same as holding to Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. The ruskies were calling even Odesa a "russian city", the only russians almost reaching it are now at the bottom of the sea, so? They will never take it. And their escape from Ukrainian Crimean AR should be as rapid as from Kherson, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Mykolaiv.

Most oil russia sells goes directly into Europe, it's EU who sends russians billions every week, not China or India. If you want a list of people with most trade with russia, it will probably start with likes of Switzerland, who QUADRUPLED imports from russia this year, Italy is also very close... plus the typical list of ultra-corrupt countries: Germany, Austria, France. They are the biggest providers of weapons and tech for russia: French optics, German engines, Austrian and Italian gears that make russian vehicles roll. Second biggest must be USA, since we find Texas Electronics chips in their drones. Third is Iran, followed by Israel (most "russian"-made drones are Israeli design just assembled in russia) and North Korea. Ofc Chinese are also somewhere there but their biggest trade partner is USA, while EU really likes oil from russia... their pilots fly on fuel from Total and BP.
