Non-pro media is often more reliable than mainstream one, hell, as a Ukrainian, I can get more reliable information from ru military bloggers who are sometimes begrudgingly negative about command (before apologizing or disappearing), but NYT and WaPo are always 100% following poo tin's narrative in all of their reports.
