  1. I think they copy the tropes from classic literature where everyone had someone dying from tuberculosis (that was realistic but we invented vaccines, pasteurization and antibiotics since)... so modern dramatic take would be cancer.

  2. I actually watched the movie... guys it's not long and is one of actually entertaining courtroom dramas from black and white age. Another is 12 Angry Men.

  5. I live in Eastern Europe. Our "WW2 veterans" plugged by every politician for clout got younger with every decade! Last time I checked, the vets were like 60. Up north, there's Lukashenko who claimed his father died in WW2... Luka was born on 1953.
