They don't need to pay, or even threaten, their reputation scares people enough... project Snow White was one of the most successful espionage acts by non-state entity in history! They infiltrated everything. And it's not like Mojo or others seriously think they'll be persecuted, more like, they don't need the problems, even as minor as lawyers doing false copyright strikes on YouTube, which is easy to do and would cost tons in ad revenue even if strikes would be appealed later.

Yes, that's easiest way to tell apart real religion from cults. Normally, all information in any religion is upfront, if anything, they annoy you with too much of it. Mystery cults hide some info instead. @nHans Nope, that's intelligence, you don't want military bases and plans to be public knowledge to a hostile foreign power.
