  1. I love that movie! They are such a cute couple, a movie that's about vengeance and mafia tells a better love story than any romantic comedy... and there's more twists than one, the killer character knew they faked it before the ending, but his heart just couldn't do it, again, much like they show in a flashback. I didn't take note of that until repeat viewing.

  2. Speaking of that, I loved endings of Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood precisely because we expected history to happen.

  3. Frozen was a deconstruction of a fairy tale... same with Shrek. Similarly to how I AM YOUR FATHER was a deconstruction of a heroic fantasy genre. The whole point of those films was to screw with your expectations. In Titanic, ship sinks, and he dies. It would be a twist if it was like in Tarantino movies where Hitler dies and Sharon lives.
