@MaxSoininen Dracula is very clearly Romanian. Wallachia is one of regions of Romania. But Dracula isn't even associated with it, but Transylvania, a bordering region. In Bram Stoker's version of the story, he's an ethnic Hungarian, but he STILL rules from a castle in Transylvania that yes, borders Wallachia, both Romanian regions.
Since the topic is about Americans claiming Nottingham, please don't be like them and pretend that Irishmen can somehow claim castles in Eastern Europe. P.S. Countess Bathory's castle is near, in Slovakia. Unlike real life Vlad Dracula, she was actually Hungarian in real life, and not just because Bela Lugosi had a thick accent.
