Separation of power means that three branches act independently: legislature (Parliament), executive (government) and judiciary (courts), they are separate to act as checks and balances for idiocy of either. Queen is the head of executive branch, and what Johnson did with her was an executive fiat against the legislative one, with a precedent, no less, of Charles I. Courts are SUPPOSED to be the third branch and rule such disputes. And in UK they work on precedent system, so... well, Boriska na tsarstvo, off with his hairpiece?!
