It also depends on if they believe the adult. Will they have the marshmallow that is there or trust a stranger that promises you another one. So that's a factor. As adult, will you give a single hot dog you were going to have to a stranger that promises you two in five minutes? Most likely not. Does that say anything about willpower lol?

@ValCronin It's not even a choice between one marshmallow now and several later. It's a choice between a marshmallow you HAVE and a PROMISE of more. Politicians love to deny people marshmallows with promises of aeons later) Or that, an employer lets you choose: to get paid now guaranteed after a single month of work, or waiting and working for free for another month to then they promise to pay you for two months. What you choose, and what it has to do with willpower... or just the willingness to get exploited.

Yeah they didn't get better they were just persevering longer.

Huh? Ordinary school means you're resisting (not really) hanging out with friends, just sleeping on the desk or drawing in your notebook instead. I legit don't remember anyone who actually tried studying for real in regular day school, if someone tried to do it, they would be called out as a nerd, brainiac or teacher's pet and peer pressured or bullied into ignoring the teacher and lessons anyway. Only online school allows you to actually follow.material instead of shooting and dodging spit balls, relaying paper messages and doing anything to either fit in with kids who are adamant on not studying or rebelling in futile attempt to be the only geek who actually listens to teacher.

@No Name YouTube is a website you can use it without app or logins so deleting it without turning off internet or blocking it with parental control or something is impossible.

I watched a video of a guy tasting 20+ types of chips, and he said that after doing that with Pringles before he can't even look at them in store, the mushy flour taste on his tongue felt so disgusting after a while... So I went and bought all chips I wanted. My cupboard didn't have enough space, packs were laid everywhere. Getting A LOT of chips accessible reduced cravings compared to having 1-3 packs, and when I eventually finished them, next time I also bought a lot... Ate them only when hungry and lazy to cook... Finally, after finishing second or third hoard of chips I don't care about them at all. Even when I was eating them I ate less I would have otherwise had I bought a single pack per day. Willpower is a myth. I had cravings because I didn't get what I want - until I had so much I stopped caring.
