This video about a specific type of rally cars gave me more knowledge about cars that I had in my entire life... xD seriously, you explained weight distribution, wheel and engine layout, differences between turbo and supercharged engines, AND rally regulations and safety extremely clear and all in passing while telling the story.

So what stopped Mercedes from having even a single pit stop during the two Red Bull had? Why should they get a fresh set of tires after they kept stubbornly refused to pit for almost 50 laps? Saying Lewis would have lost if he had pitted as much as Max? Well, he lost regardless. Guess actually changing tires once in 40 laps at least has a reason.

You naturally developped that technique when using digital PS1 buttons for throttle in Gran Turismo. PS2 had pressure-sensitive buttons but by the time I got to GT4, muscle memory just slammed the X button on and off instead of gradually pressing it... And then comes Alonso steering with the the D-pad! xD

Final race decided everything and the final lap too. That's exactly how I want racing to be: intense, risky and where the winner is decided at the last second. Kinda like when Kimi won... I stopped watching when Vettel and now Hamilton, just took everything with no competition. FINALLY it's watchable again. "Purists" should go cry more. My parents watched with Senna/Prost rivalry and I watched Schumacher as a kid. I rooted for Michi but hated him not having real competition before Alonso appeared. This is the way!

He's... fast. That's the word you're looking for. I came back to Formula after a long break and didn't know who to root for, but all this delicious salt from Brexitland reminded me of football World Cup where everyone wanted Italy to win just to spite the English fans. Same here. Go Red Bull! XD

"Under this "end of laps only" Red Flag - no tire changes or car alterations/fixes" Well, that's the thing, people are so focused on regulations they forgot that nobody forced Mercedes to NOT go to pits for 40 laps. Red Bull pitted THRICE, increasing the gap between Max and Lewis each time, and the team kept telling Hamilton to not pit. It's on them. People act as if it wasn't fair that Verstappen got a pit stop for cheap, but again, nobody actually prevented Merc from using a pit stop, they HOPED old tires would be enough and they weren't. End of story. Max was faster on final lap. It's really all that matters. Like a knockout victory in boxing. Doesn't matter who had bigger score before that. A KO is just that.

My fav racing sim is Crash Team Racing. Nothing like firing exploding beakers that give rain cloud debuff at a Dingo with a crocodile's tail while getting boost from a turbo pad while powerslide-jumping from a pirate ship!

6:53 Yeah adding those weird tracks like Spa and Silverstone to Gran Turismo just has you cut half of the track with no risk lmao, while AI is slowly crawling around the racing line, ignoring the obvious shortcuts.

OH NOES the faster driver with the fastest lap time actually won, what horror, they're trying to RACE and be FASTER in my F1 championship instead of legislating away the win!
1
Mercedes fanboys, JUST TAKE THE L! Stop trying to legislate away your driver was slower in both qualification and the final race. Max Versappen LITERALLY holds both fastest lap on track and lap record for Yas Marina. That's it. Shown that in final lap too. Pretending otherwise is ridiculous.

Literally the other way around: Senna's peak was in the era of all driving aids on, most of those were banned in 1994... Nowadays F1 cars don't have turbos, antilock brakes, stability control etc., like sure the tech got more sophisticated, but it's less about cars and more about drivers now.
