  1. Argh, so so sorry about your injuries! I hope they heal up beyond expectation so you can, in fact, get your pilot's license and maybe even play the shamisen again. If you basically need to keep that finger in one position while playing, wouldn't it be an option to wear some kind of hand/finger-guard to make sure your bone can't snap again? (also: wow, whoever supervised that junior doctor was really doing a bad job that night - if you work someone to the point where they forget to do something as basic as cleaning the wound, they should not have been working anymore, they should have been on a break.)
