  1. I used to envy people who lived near a forest; now I live in a forested area and I envy people who live near rocks and rivers, lol! But you're so right, exploring one's local area is so worth it! This week I went on a cycle ride out of the forest and into the polders around the old Dutch fishing town of Spakenburg. I saw amazing new views both in the forest and in the open country, I had fried fish for lunch and I even saw an old lady in traditional dress! Highly recommended for anyone in the area :)
