  14. There's a long thread where I explain she needs to add water to protect her plumbing. The mouth breathing screeching which followed is unbearable. It may be random in that it's multiple products. But your point remains. Adding water would prevent the release of toxic steam and protect the plumbing.   22.  @diamonddotzip5678  The design change limits the amount of wiring in the vehicle. This way you only require a ground, power, and signal to devices to which you which to communicate. This means you don't need 12v or 24v at the ignition switch. You can use whatever voltage is useful and common for your signal bus and then only require 12v or 24v at the ignition relay and so on. There are a lot of advantages this route. But as you can see it's not without complexity and disadvantages of its own. The diagnostic modules you find monitor at least one of these buses and looks for PIDs. Even your dash now monitors these PIDs are messages like MPG, MPH, oil pressure and so on. All from a set of common wiring. As each device does not require its own set of wiring. In older cars a cable would run from the transmission. And tubing from the engine for oil pressure. Everything is a trade.
