@clamum9648 Nah I'm only here to comment that the project largely failed because they were so loud and weren't really good enough to justify their expense.

Yeah realistically it seems that the military is trying to stay away from urban combat. It's easily the fighting with the highest casualties that are for the most part unavoidable because it's so easy to entrench. So you just want to overall avoid it.

@christopherchan6505 Range. Realistically the effectiveness of 5.56 starts to dissipate after 300m and after 600m it becomes basically useless. This thing is to go to 800m and still put down targets. Frankly when it comes to jungle fighting... well that weapon has filled the arsenal.

@Cluelessdad-hj3uu I don't think they have to. I believe that rifle is already adopted and continues to be modernized to this day.
