@5 MOVIES 5 GREAT SCENES! What Lucas wanted was incredibly bad. And it's known to be very poorly acted. It's not a cliche, it's just poor acting and dialogue. Point was more about writing being poor. You're just trying to be a contrarian.

@BIG DAN TEE this is questionable and no the director owes the movie going audience a good movie. This is huge cope.

@Luke Rojas I think that's just fans in general who love their franchises but without the ability to see why. Quite sad to see people unable to see flaws. Though i do believe the prequels are far better than the sequels in all but cinematography and production value. Even the acting isn't worse, just really bad dialogue. But then you find similarly bad dialogue in the sequels, so it's not really a win either. And let's face it, the acting of those lines (especially from the main protagonist) could've used some work in both. Also, at least the general writing of the prequels was coherent, compared to the almost nonsensical writing of the sequels with simply more human dialogue.
