Eh socialism is usually such a small part it isn't useful and honestly won't be good for many countries unless they can rid themselves of corruption

The thing is that many actually DO want that because they think a society run by them from the top will be better than that from the bottom. In many ways it's been the way China has been ruled for millenia however what that runs up against is no way to really advocate for people and society and keep people downtrodden until they organize an actual rebellion or get conquered.

10:17 I'll push back against that airlines point because the issue with airlines is specifically that it's a very difficult market to get into. It's a lot of capital investment and then a lot of upkeep for fairly low margins which makes it very difficult to really enter the market. How much does a plane cost? Okay now multiply that by like 100 and you finally have a small air service that still isn't making much money and needs to constantly pay for landing rights.

@ccvcharger Tbh it only marginally changes and seems to change more with the grammar rules because they're far from universal across languages. It's also remarkably consistent a message compared to most other phrases. Compare that to the phrase for something being super expensive which in English is "It costs an arm and a leg" but in Spanish is "Cuesto un ojo de la cara" and translates to "it costs an eye of the face" but mean the same thing. I think it was probably translated across multiple languages.

I'm going to guess it's a translation or perhaps spawned from the same phrase which somehow ended up in the English lexicon of "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" as it does seem like there is evidence of translations occurring when the phrases are that similar but not quite the same.
