Oh yeah that's about how he's described it before

@dantecaputo2629 Well the generational cycle is an age of 20 years not 10 so that would still be on track timeline wise. But it's also not entirely about material conditions as history is far too complex for that.

Now for you: fundamentally your timing is off as there are two fundamental issues you've missed: The millennials are an American only phenomenon. Everyone has boomers but only Americans have millennials. Boomers refused to have kids and so a baby bust occurred in the WWII areas at the time of that cohort getting into age (1970s) and it's what's causing the demographic issues of today. Secondly the demographic crisis is hitting NOW. The reason Russia had to invade THIS YEAR was because this was the LAST year that it could even ATTEMPT to start an invasion as it is entering into terminal decline. China has already entered into terminal decline back in the early 2000s since they over-counted their population on scale of over 100 million people. Their population bulge goes into mass retirement within 10 years and the idea that we'll even get there before something in the Chinese system gives is simply ludicrous (Chinese already suffer numerous issues which are country killers such as insane debt to gdp) and such a give will Permanently stop their economy (China is where Japan was 30 years ago but on the scale of 10x the population and 1/3x the wealth with probably 2x the bubble size) and thus they will suffer a stop which is simply unprecedented given the size and situation. As for the other things please understand that Xi didn't condone the Ukraine war because he didn't even know it was going to happen. On top of this, while they know the war for Taiwan will go poorly they're in a state where they too will need a diversionary effect because they're about to start running exclusively on nationalism. This means that there's a more than 10% chance of war for Taiwan. You think the US has no appetite for war but the Americans are self-righteous quickly and frankly they'd get into a "splendid little war" type scenario because war with China looks like a level of sanctions that was put on Russia and blocking the strait of Malacca which results in the complete deindustrialization of China. The US doesn't need troops on the ground to win that war it just needs to stay far away from the mainland and then not allow any shipping into China. Frankly the biggest thing is that I don't see the Americans fighting war in Europe. THAT is liable to be completely ignored. The global crisis is coming within the decade. And in real terms if we want to kick it off it would be with a famine. That comes November to December 2022. Dominoes fall from there.

The issue is that such a thing is literally all of history and then the crises happen regardless. Going to hell in a handbasket despite no-one wanting to is the norm.

@TheDominionOfElites Issue is that Chinese party mouthpieces have spoken openly about war with the USA and the Sino-American relations have become such that the Americans are dead set on China and are actively changing their military to fight China. The Chinese have also been trying to get bases and for years been investing into long-range anti-ship missile technology. Both countries are gearing up for war. And that's just the part about war. Most of the issues with the global system which is causing its collapse are fundamentally outside of ANYONE'S control. Within that environment everyone loses control as the populace goes wild from the aftereffects of the collapse of the global system. When food gets reduced your people start getting very uppity and often very well armed. Frankly the US, Turkiye, Argentina, and France are in the best positions to make it through this so unlikely to face those issues. Other places are going to be hit a LOT harder. This is where the collapse will come from. Aftershocks start wars by basically making it so everyone stumbles into it.

@jonathanjohnson9611 Well that's kind of always his take. But you know... still the end of this part of history and his point after is always "But afterward we'll be fine"

So Russia can't actually export all of that since they've got 1 rail line to Vladivostok (Chinese border) and currently have no viable sea connections. That's 1. 2 is that the Chinese also can't get the industrial inputs for growing the crops in the first place. Frankly those industrial inputs are the real silent killer here because it essentially allows you to lie with statistics. Statistics are fundamentally a 99% chance factor C influencing the measurements. Variables A and B being measured doesn't tell you the real reason of why it is that way much of the time. So in this case it's a lack of industrial inputs and China is hunkering down now to prepare for this outcome. They see the writing on the wall and they're trying to take steps to mitigate the collapse and stay in power.

Man I've felt for years now of "Interesting times are ahead" but I didn't think they'd get THIS interesting. Lmao get to live through the 30s years war, napoleonic wars, etc. Ancestors give me strength!

@russellfurbush7499 I'm sorry but you're the one most in need of new sources. The ruble is a zombie currency because sadly the USD is still the world's main reserve currency. No-one wants rubles and you have to fly it anywhere to make money transfers since they've been cut off from banking. That's not sustainable. On top of that "quite well" doesn't look like thousands of troops having died, 3 days of logistics because of a failed plan, 40 mile long convoy which had to pick up and go home, etc. The biggest thing is that now the Russians have gotten into an artillery battle where they have the advantage and have resorted to civilian obliteration which displaces the populace and makes it easy to target people as the groups self-select (Civilians run so everyone else is a military target). However even a victory would not be Russia doing well. Russia SHOULD have swept but it didn't. This is winter war 2 but on top of that it has backfired and swung more allies into the NATO alliance. Seriously this is a geo-strategic failure on all metrics even if they're finally winning the battles.

@scaredcrower Just stay out of the PRC. You won't be let out and frankly American nationalism is such that you just have to really claim to love America and you're good

@donwarren3253 The global order is collapsing around that time. All of the international organizations such as the WEF and UN are likely to go along with it. Remember that the UN and other international bodies really only work in a globalized world which is ending.

@donwarren3253 We don't know. There's no way to know. In some places it could mean anarchy and complete state collapse. Others have a range of Great Depression level economic woes to just 1970s stagflation. For Argentina it's just Tuesday (they're kind of a rising star and already more than self-sufficient while being terrible economically so there's nowhere for them to go). But that's the transition. For what comes next, my bet is something that looks a lot like the 16th century. A more Natural world with regional and smaller powers which compete and no superpowers. However the idea that the UN, World Bank, and world economic forum survive is pretty silly. Imagine how ineffectual the League of Nations was after 1918. The reason it didn't work was because there was no globalization which was the post-1945 world order. So yeah you're likely to see that again.
