Groups 1 and 3 got with likely a single or series of bad experiences which sent them off a cliff (with group 1 possibly having the intellectualism kill them internally), and group 2 with no brakes from others in the friend group or other social factors to retard this development, ended up going to the logical extreme of that behavior.

The irony of Gen Z is that like half of us genuinely didn't care because we didn't care about school anyway and perhaps already having an internal focus.

Well no even the millennials didn't deal with this. On top of that the boomers are the ones who built it and Gen X grew up with it. If they were a significant contributing factor, it would show up in those generations. Not Gen Z.
