I've seen two already in this comment section who basically said that lol. One even characterized it as "colonial daddy issues"

it's basically become the fucked up version of the American system honestly

@mrconfusion87 I think there's a good point to discuss about how the people are compared to how the government is and that the government will often have a very small direct influence on the people especially on foreigners. Like the government casually disappearing 20 people (usually political dissidents) is bad and would show that its authoritarian but if you're one of the other hundreds of millions of people you really aren't going to notice much unless for whatever reason you get a target on you.

If you want to gain an understanding of American politics first thing you need to realize is that international or EU level politics for you is the same level as national politics for the US. Local politics are always more diverse.

@mweskamppp So is much of Latin America lol

@mweskamppp That's because the Spanish had a lot of integration and the native population died.

@mweskamppp Well Spain itself has such diversity with many looking Arab. The issue with Spain is that you have just as many dark Skinned and dark haired as you do blonde-haired blue-eyed. You're correct in it varying from region to region, but the biggest thing is that the nobility was largely wiped out or converted to Spanish nobility which made the whole thing overall convert into mostly Spanish culture.

@alexanderdesturion4346 Hmmm... for that kind of thing he definitely seems like the leader Russia needs right now to pull itself from its shit. If he lives long enough to see a US-China war he could easily make a deal with the Americans to pull out of Eastern Europe and help crush China. To which the strategic goal of minimizing risk of invasion from the west would be much more realized and then kick out China from Central Europe putting Russia back in a spot where it has defensible borders from its neighbors.

@alexanderdesturion4346 I think it's going to be interesting to see what happens if it can hold together long enough to see Putin out of power

I think you got your wish

@kormannn1 That's... that's largely the modern left and much of Europe. And tbh it doesn't really help you deal with all of the bad in the world so as a "religion" it's a pretty crappy one. It also doesn't take into account everything else needed because if you're all scientists and engineers who's building?

@dark_matters What's the smearing language?

Western liberalism is what drives America at least to a degree. However the American left has turned more toward socialism and such leanings while also engaging in conscious suicide by creating a de-facto religion of wokeness. It's quite concerning and honestly once people learn that taking the Bible literally is not what you're supposed to do they'll probably open up to more church worship. The biggest issue it has is assuming Christianity believes the world was actually created in 7 days due to many protestant movements based on "Bible First" where they take it at face value. We'll likely see new churches spring up if that idea can be reconciled.
