28:18 You do realize that they have to own all of those states to be considered "conquered" right? Sparta didn't completely control Athens, Russia split Poland among 3, and the French only got part of the Netherlands. Also if you only hold the territory for a couple of years before it getting completely taken away from you it seems like less of a complete conquest. Not to mention how many of these were just "big country crushes little country"

For your final line, I can pull a scene from Rick and Morty of all places. Rick, the selfish nihilistic genius who crosses the multiverse and has the powers of a god, finds himself in a situation he cannot solve and faces death. He willingly did so in order to save his grandchildren and at that moment he says he is okay with his action. He then immediately finds his way out, says a small prayer to God as he tries to fix the device to enable him to escape, and then tells God "fuck you" as he succeeds. Because of the nature of the event, the other versions of him do similarly and kneel down praying, only to assert there is no God upon escape.

27:47 Once you got to Mauryan you really started to stretch the definition of "Fascist" beyond needing, and Macedonia doesn't count because it had a military genius. If this is just evaluating the cultures who united their civilizations then that's really doing the work for them. I also don't know enough about the others to say anything about them. Also no the Aztecs were far closer to the definition of Fascist with how absolutely brutal and militaristic they were than a republic.

Also i have to refute this idea you have that the fascists fought better per capita than the liberals. This simply isn't true. First off, the only one this even CAN apply to is the Germans via that study, which doesn't take into account being on the defensive for most of their fighting. Second off, Japan and Italy didn't actually fight better per capita, quite the opposite. The Japanese rolled the Chinese with ease, but the Japanese would defend islands, and still fail despite outnumbering the Americans. Not to mention the Italians who were so incredibly inept the only time they were ever effective was under Rommel for a period of a few months. The only other ones who can be compared are the Spanish under Franco, but their opponents weren't even totally liberal and rife with factionalism. Finally, the liberals had the hardest job of all having to fight for territory which was already lost due to being caught basically off guard vs the fascists who got to decide when the war started which really affected the effectiveness of their armies. And even then, they still basically stomp once they were able to regroup being able to do incredible feats like contested naval landings over and over and even breaking the codes and tactics of their opponents basically completely wrecking them strategically.
