  1. Tbh the Americans are pretty removed from the world so the rest of the world literally affects it less. Also looking to other nations very easily falls into the trap of putting their cultures onto the ones discussed even if it doesn't apply. The biggest issue is that due to the short history of the USA, doesn't have as much to look at in its past to look at. It's also worth noting that the US only ever existed in an industrial form. There is no pre-industrial America. Pre-Industrial America is basically France immediately after the Frankish conquest. I.e. a Society with cultural influences which exist but hadn't yet worked through the population and into the broader society yet. This means that there really isn't a good analogy for the USA elsewhere in the world just like there's no good analogy for China or India. Only difference is that China and India are about 10x older in comparison and thus have a rich history to draw from and look back to and see how it's changed.
