Tbh barring South Sudan and the Congo, the countries are all mostly functional enough that the merger would indeed give EXACTLY that in increased integration and development.

Not just that but in real terms South Sudan will already be a drag on the country. It'd still be easier to integrate though as it was a former British colony and with the benefit of the nile. The Congo however is just dead weight with no real way to integrate or map out. Yeah no that'll kill this thing tbh.

Another thing is that they all share history of being British colonies. So they have that shared history as well and English in their Repitoire (easy trade with the Anglophones has historically brought in cash). While South Sudan has that the Congo does not. So it is honestly pretty questionable adding in those two.

Yeah the EAF needs to kick out the DRC and possibly even South Sudan until later. Without those two the unification is a relatively easy process. Literally NONE of the borders make sense with the ethnic groups. However all except the DRC were British colonies. So they all have a common language, common real lack of national identity that can be formed due to industrialization, and are relatively stable. If there's a time to try to create a national identity and form a nation... this is about where you'd start.

@obamagaming-zv4vy Rwanda and the other would still be worth adding. Rwanda is now on a path to wealth unlike a lot of the others and managed to build a lot of stable institutions. Overall there's a lot of ways to integrate the first five but South Sudan and the DRC really don't have that way
