  2. You simply grow up that way. You learn to be stronger. Your parents role, and indeed growing up, is meant to prepare you for this. Without that preparation and being dropped in the deep end, for someone who had already been not the most mentally stable, probably would've shattered her. And it seems it did. In many ways, it seems that being a woman is what ultimately did her in. As she was far more empathetic, and felt guilt by association, while also feeling things more strongly. So by the end of it, it was just too much.
