  1. I know the army says that it won't mix and match ammo and weapon, but true velocity seems like a better match for Sig Sauer than general dynamics. Textron CAN'T have that mix and Sig seems to have weapons that are more suited to keeping in line with current army service. They also have a heavy machine gun lined up to replace the 7.62 since this 6.8 is replacing 5.56 not 7.62. With the benefits of the true velocity composite ammo, it is vastly superior to the bi-metal cartridge with none of the downsides of the CT rounds, I can't see them NOT adopting them. The Sig weapons seem way too suited to the current army doctrine of weapons for them to reject either. So overall it seems like Sig will get weapons and True velocity will get a huge ammo contract for probably the rest of all military ammo.
