  1. I think the only thing is a question of if Europeans hear much about news outside of Europe. Or even the third world out of their geographic areas. Remember, the issue with the USA is that it's more of a continent of 50 related countries than much else. For everyone else, 300 miles is another country. For the US, you can still be in the same state. I think there is simply a "big country" problem for the largest powers.
