@Michael Ozark A: Depends heavily on the scorpion. One with no danger you're basically just having an annoying day because you got stung you'll keep on walking. One with enough to at least immobilize you, you're done without some help. B: Even with training, with an injury, your chances of survival in the night in the desert are slim. You say they have the equipment, but if the equipment is only enough for a patrol, then you're unlikely to do so. Remember that this is the 60s, not the modern 21st century western soldier. Much more basic kit. C: Also way to put in your own conceptions in a channel dedicated to military organization.

Tbh, that does sound like a bit of a strict reading. The primary idea behind not evacuating casualties during an Assault is at least that you can pick up the wounded later when you, too, aren't in danger of getting shot. If you're on a patrol with no contact it does seem like you should be treating the wounded.
