What is this hearing? Now that's a terrible board to try to do that. Blatant mischaracterization of Candace Owens there. And this is supposed to be a kind of court right? And they don't do that basic due diligence of the question beforehand and play a snippet of what makes her look... honestly not even that bad because it was her saying Hitler did bad things and only looks like a defense of Hitler if you don't think about it.

@fcoomega7734 Because saying someone wasn't something they claimed to be by citing an action isn't saying that they're not bad. And the only reason she brought it up is because nationalism is given a bad name by the deluded genocidal man that was Hitler. To take that as a defense of Hitler is so completely dishonest the only way you can genuinely think it is is to simply not think about it for more than a second and assume she agrees with something she did not actually say.

@fcoomega7734 The defense was that she was in no means defending genocide or any of the other horrible atrocities. And she didn't. However considering her involvement in Jewish affairs it was offensive to her that the allegation was at all made. It's like someone saying It's good Margaret Sanger created planned parenthood the issue is that she was targeting people. And then you're accused of defending Margaret Sanger's eugenics beliefs because you didn't in that same breath immediately condemn the idea because it wasn't relevant to your point. And you volunteer at a community center primarily dominated by blacks and have a boss at a job who's black. Wouldn't that be offensive to you? Also the defense is that you didn't at all claim to support the idea or be defending her you just also reasonably took offense to the idea.

@nanaa9074 Doesn't matter how nationalism is properly defined as it never came up here so it makes more sense for the summary to say that she believes. Whether or not it's accurate is another matter entirely.
