You don't have to have an ARM machine to emulate an arm Mac. Just someone has to reverse the chip to write emulator

Here's a tip, switch from Listen Type Address to None in Spice menu Change Video to Virtio and tick enable 3d acceleration Go back to Spice menu and enable OpenGL. There you have now all draw calls ran directly on your GPU If you want to use other GPU (like a dedicated) ran virt-manager with DRM_PRIME=1 (or other number according to gpu) And pick that GPU in Spice menu. Very Sadly this doesn't work with Windows guest, because GPU passthrough not only is harder to do but also needs hardware support for passing through feature, While this VirGL method i told before is hardware agnostic

Fuck apps and games. Give us drivers for every device.

Guys thinking it's the end of windows and that many people will go for Linux are just pathetic. Normies will not care, and non normies will maybe get system wide Adblock, which I think might start appearing.
20
trying to compile Linux with that

Well modern lotus started from modifying MR2, but eventually evolved to V8 swapping it

Lived about 3 month on Alpine, overall great experience. Used it with dwm, firefox worked, java (and minecraft worked) I've also decided to go with plan9port and switch from dwm to rio. Can't say it was easy and interface of bot dwm and rio are just a little not my cup of tea, but it worked, and did so well. The deciding part of switching from it was that uni required to run some windows app and I tried to use plain qemu (because virt-manager was not built for it) but it didn't quite work out for me, so I had to change distro. Now they seems to have a GNOME desktop version test and that's great news, as much as GNOME is javascript bloat, it looks quite cool IMO. Of course not without a few hiccups with wifi, I resorted to use NetworkManager and it was buggy and didn't want to connect to my weird uni wifi.

I don't like to be a shill, but Edge is so awesome, it has an amazing 'Read Aloud' feature as well as vertical tabs

Rust is not object oriented unlike C++. It's more like C but with memory thing (borrow checker) and lots of functional programming features, which C lacks.

Not really, many people in EU, including governments use and probably would like to continue using facebook

Beware that musl doesn't have multilib, so no games except foss ones. Wine needs multilib for most software, same as Steam

Systemctl is a systemd component afaik You should review Debian unstable/sid install for those who want more bleeding edge but want to stay with debian and not arch. There is a common mis belief that Debian is just stable, I blame some Linux youtubers that couldn't find the iso and debian for their labirynth website (unstable is in the Developer section) but i guess it is done for the sake of users using stable and not potentially having problems with unstable. Anyhow majority of Debian community runs Debian unstable as their desktop OS

Please do a Slackware or/and Alpine Thanks!

What can you recommend, assuming there is no hardware acceleration, what virtual machine backed is better x86_64 or riscv64 on x86 host. There would ofc be difference with acceleration, but without it...

@zyan983 ah yes, thank you for questioning that, the point that I forgot to tell and a pretty major one. Lutris itself would work on Alpine because it is a Python 3 application, however WINE wouldn't work sadly... nor does Steam and for one simple reason - no multilib. Not sure if it is limitation of musl or supporting it isn't in scope of the project, but it doesn't work. Perhaps both steam and wine both can run on a 32bit version of alpine, however most people probably don't want to use that (but it can run on a 64bit system)
1
@zyan983 umm, i think wine is 64bit version only, and you theoretically can run 64 bit apps on it, but most windows programs require both 32bit and 64 bit

@elrisitas8508 honestly, it's pretty shit, just as myself

Imo Deepin Linux is more like MacOS. In fact Deepin is more like a mix of MacOS, Windows and Android design patterns, therefore it should be really easy for someone to start using it
