The danger of taking statues down because they offend is rather then accepting history has happened and trying to explain it to a generation..wether you agree or disagree with that part of history...by taking certain statues down or... monuments... be it whatever...your air brushing history and sanitizing it into a clean and improved brand of history that dosnt actually reflect what happened in that period of time...history can be very dark as well as light.. it would be the equivalent of saying ahh let's all think happy thoughts today and forever because nothing bad has happened in the past and we can all pretend every part of history is bright not dark.
