  1. ​@nigellacey559 minimum wage is just that minimum . I'm getting a bit bored of that excuse. If they payed people properly what they are worth people would have more money in their pockets to spend wouldn't they. People shouldn't be getting the minimum. That's disgusting.

High business rents charged by the local council , who are trying to scrape ever penny they can from the business and its population, people having less disposable income, due to cost of living crisis, i call that the cost of the Conservative crisis is the technical term, councils being devalued over the years and they are just literally trying to get any money they can while trying to provide for a aging population with complex needs socially, social care budgets not keeping up, a complex situation with one simple answer meaning all roads lead back to one party in power for the last 14 year's, they take out but don't invest enough in the country you only need look at every aspect of British life to work that out, lets hope the next lot do a better job and don't spend year's talking about fixing things while doing nothing, watch this space the clocks ticking on their time in office.

  3. @nigellacey559  unfortunately they should have aimed at the larger employers and not everyone, or if they wanted to include smaller employers make it a smaller contribution from those employers. More importantly the government should have ensured the employers aren't passing on costs to the public and it should have come from the profit or holdings of the company.
