  1. Good to see this. I was born in 1962 so for my sixtieth birthday year I decided to read books from 1962. So I read the "Androcles and the Lion" in Shavian and later in the year read Jane Austen's 𐑐𐑮𐑲𐑛 𐑯 𐑐𐑮𐑧𐑡𐑵𐑛𐑦𐑕 I trained up to do it by taking a word list of the 200 most common words in English in Shavian and making flashcards real ones not an electronic set and memorising them. That helped tremendously in speeding my reading.

  2. Have you seen the Shavian alphabet? George Bernard Shaw in his will left a large sum for the development of a new alphabet for English and after a few years wrangling and a court case or two They awarded the prize to what is now called the Shavian alphabet.
