I believe that children are some of the best question askers on the planet I use the term "question askers" as it expresses a broader area than just philosophy (some argue that philosophy is all but I think its academic version is more narrow) I have met brilliant theologians brilliant scientists brilliant philosophers mostly in the age range 3 to 7 They ask the best questions. I for many years was responsible for the Children's Class at a Quaker Meeting (with, in the Quaker way, a committee) and I was seen as a brave class leader as I raised theological issues and used Bible stories. My favourite was the Book of Ruth where we spent an entire session exploring the first verse of the book: "In the days when the judges ruled, there was a famine in the land, and a certain man of Bethlehem in Judah went to live in the country of Moab, he and his wife and two sons." We had an excellent discussion of famine, migration and moving - all while migrating across the room and having to make decisions about what to keep and what to discard.

John Profumo was a British politician in the 1960s he was in the centre of a scandal which is overshadowed by "George Santos"'s alleged misdeeds and he resigned and went and worked at Toynbee Hall, a charitable institution in a very poor part of London, he worked cleaning their toilets. That to me is how you redeem yourself.
