  1. I bought a new computer in 2000 and it came with Windows Me It was such a horrible experience and led to several crashes that I moved permanently to Linux and haven't looked back since then. My partner's computer ran Windows XP and we talked about what happens when it came to the end of its support life and we moved to Linux I use Arch based distros with i3wm my partner who is less technical uses a Linux Mint LTS It works and I can ssh into the other computers from termux on my phone if necessary too.

When I moved to Doom Emacs I installed ripgrep and fd and I had encountered paru (you had done a recent video on it) which is written in Rust bat certainly looks better as does procs (though procs isn't compatible with aarach64 architecture sadly) so my Raspberry Pi Media computer cannot take it.

I am a tinkerer at heart Starting with Red Hat Linux 5.2 As a dual boot about 23 years ago and ditching Microsoft after a system failure and pulling all the windows files off the system via the Linux installation I then migrated to Ubuntu then Mint and then to Manjaro and currently Arch My partner is however someone who wants something that "just works" so I have installed a Linux Mint system there.

I bought a raspberry pi and to start with I loaded the default GUI OS and I was lost until I opened the terminal and could manipulate things I then discovered that there was a "lite" version and that it was more to my taste because virtually the only gui application I use is a web browser but I have vimium running so it is keyboard driven. I do virtually everything with the keyboard and commandline activities
