  1. I started learning programming in an after school club where we were allowed to punch cards and submit Fortran programmes to the local University mainframe. This was in the 1970s - I learnt C, C++ and Smalltalk but as a hobby I have been learning Lisp for the intellectual interest. Plus I have encountered a language called Lua and its Lisp cousin fennel where it takes Lisp like material and converts it to Lua.
